The annual FPCK Chili Cook off

True to previous years it was a rainy night! Mission Northeast served Texas Turkey Chili-/ spicy and mild versions. Mission volunteers Judy Beisher and Roger Eddy were there to help.

Thank you Whataburger

Whataburger in New Caney recognized Mission Northeast at their ribbon cutting and special presentation from Lynne Dobson, daughter of Whataburger founders, Harmon and Grace Dobson.  Whataburger was founded in 1950 in Corpus Christi, TX by Harmon Dobson and Paul Burton.    Mission Northeast will receive a $1,000 check from Whataburger.

Our service area covers over 800 square miles and 11 zip codes.  All programs and services are provided free of charge to persons living in poverty.   Mission Northeast is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization, eligible to accept tax exempt donations.

We began as a small church pantry in Kingwood, Texas in 1995, and in 2000 we moved to our own location on Loop 494 in New Caney.

Thank you, Mission donors and supporters!

Thank you, Mission donors and supporters!  You have provided us with so many wonderful and much needed items to give out to the needy of our community.   Reminder: we do not have a thrift shop or sell anything– it’s all given away to those who are in need.
 
Please discontinue winter clothing donations as of January 31.  Please hold summer clothing donations till March 1.  
We have a limited amount of storage space, and we are still working our way through the generous Harvey donations!
 
Items that we really need right now are:  liquid dish soap; laundry detergent; shampoo; toothpaste and toothbrushes (adult and children’s); pots and pans; electric skillets or crock pots; toaster ovens; sheet sets.
 
Thank you again for supporting Mission Northeast and helping those in need.
