Community: Over 800 square miles of people living in poverty
Beisher 2Judy Beisher is a volunteer in the housewares department at Mission Northeast. Each Tuesday Judy and her team help Mission families with basic needs including sheets, towels, dishes, pots and pans, soap, deodorant, toothpaste and tooth brushes, shampoo, laundry and dish washing soap, and more. Judy and her husband have volunteered at several events benefiting Mission Northeast, and Mike has helped out in housewares too. When Mike offered to help cook for the annual Mission Volunteer luncheon, he introduced The Mission to a great group of his friends, Christians in Action (CIA) from Christ the King Lutheran Church. In spite of battling cancer, Mike has been on numerous CIA work teams, helping out at The Mission, as well as helping elderly and disabled Mission clients with much needed home repairs.Executive director Pam Dickson says, “Mike and Judy are an inspiration to us all. They are so loving and giving, and we love them back!”
