Education Programs
For the several years, there has been a growing emphasis at The Mission to train our families in a job skill that will lead to employment locally and begin a journey of independence from The Mission or local help agencies. We started with GED, Certified Nurses Aid and Welding. All successful, so there was an opportunity to receive a 3 year funding from the Economically Disadvantaged Children’s Council of Montgomery County United Way. Even though The Mission is not a United Way agency, the pairing of the two focused on a common goal to break the generational cycle of poverty in East Montgomery County is a good match.
