Summer Program…..Mission: Possible!

Mission: Possible! is a six week academic Vacation Bible School for children whose parents are Mission NE clients.  Our purpose is to serve Christ by serving them.  Our primary goal is to introduce them to a relationship with Jesus Christ while helping them review and learn academic principles.

2009, our theme was Down Under:An Australian Adventure.  Our Bible and music curriculum was Boomerang Express, which we purchased from LifeWay along with the logo.  In addition to the music curriculum, the older students worked on various Christian songs and learned a dance routine for “Give Me Your Eyes” by Brandon Heath.  Our academic focus was introducing the students to Australia—especially their unique phrases and animals—and each student received over 80 pages of information and coloring sheets about Australia.  Computer Cove, Marsupial Math, Science of Oz, Outback Bible and Crafts, Aussie Art and Reading/Writing Reef is a list of the “classes” that students 1st-8th grade attended for the 6 weeks.

MP Staff includes:  Giselle Ates, Director, TESA Publications, Joshua Ates, Matthew and Sheila Watts, Kayla Ates, Michael Waskow, Kristen Power and Jessica Bannister.

A Special THANKS goes out to Mission: Possible! supporters and volunteers:  CHATA Homeschool Volunteers, Disciplegrowth Ministries, Humble Area First Baptist Church, KHS Project Graduation, Kingwood Women’s Club, National Charity League-Kingwood, Montgomery County United Way, Second Baptist Church-Education Building, Feed My Lambs: National Charity League-Kingwood, Kingwood United Methodist Church, Kingwood Christian Church, Kingwood First Presbyterian Church, St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Strawbridge United Methodist Church.
